Born in Odense, Denmark and now based in the Bay Area, Kirstine Reiner Hansen received a BA in Design and Illustration at Kolding School of Design. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries, most recently in a solo exhibition at G-allery in Berlin, Germany. In 2012, she received the Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation Grant and has twice been a semi-finalist for the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. She has been featured in Juxtapoz Magazine, BloPop Magazine, and The Asian Curator, as well as in the book Disrupted Realism by John Seed. Her work was recently included in the 2023 independent film Meaning of a Ritual.
